Why do we replace oils

Typically Hydraulic Oil is supposed to be replaced by new oil after a usage period of 2000 to 4000 hrs. This is recommended due to the possibilities that sludge and varnish can hamper or cause malfunction of the various valves in a system. These Oil Oxidation products (called insolubles) remain dissolved in the oil until the oil cannot hold them in the dissolved state and eventually separate out and settle on cold surfaces as sludge and varnish. Sludge and Varnish is a name given to all products which are formed due to oxidation of oil. Presence of Sludge and Varnish on sliding surfaces cause valve sticking and system malfinction, reduces heat transfer in heat exchangers, increased viscosity of oil hampering proper lubrication etc. Presence of Moisture also degrades oil quality and reduces lubricity.

Thus Varnish Sludge and Moisture are contaminants formed over a period of time and are contaminants that are not required to be part of the oil. These contaminants have to be removed.

Our Oil Conditioning Filter will remove all the above contaminants as well as particles up to 3micron making the oil SUPER CLEAN - almost like new.
